Delaware Greenways is the leader in the development of Scenic and Historic Byways in Delaware (Brandywine Valley National Scenic Byway, Route Nine Coastal Heritage Scenic Byway and the Lewes Historic and Scenic Byway) and is working in all three counties to secure Byway designations that will protect and enhance cultural, natural and scenic resources that are of importance to those that live and work in these areas. The byways program works to preserve these features in conjunction with the local communities.
We work closely with the State of Delaware on three scenic byways programs:
- Brandywine Valley National Scenic Byway
- Route 9 Coastal Heritage Byway
- Lewes Byway
