Cape Henlopen State Park Improvements Survey

DNREC’s Division of Parks and Recreation Public Survey will help guide improvements.

On June 13, 2022, DNREC’s Division of Parks and Recreation hosted a community meeting from 5:30-7:30 at the Cape Henlopen State Park Officer Club/Youth Camp III building. The meeting featured a series of informational boards highlighting progress throughout the park, upcoming capital projects and future planned efforts to improve the amenities and services provided to park visitors. – DNREC

The 2022 Cape Henlopen State Park Improvement Update boards that were on display at the open house are available to Download Here.

The Division of Parks and Recreation is seeking public input on improvements at Cape Henlopen State Park, including the Biden Environmental Education Center, campground expansion, Fort Miles Museum and Historical Area, park office, trail system, utility upgrades, bathrooms and food service amenities. -DNREC

There are a lot of additions to the park’s trail system that Delaware Greenways is especially excited about….the finalized Cape Henlopen Trail Master Plan proposes an increase of 15.7 miles of trails for a total of 35 miles of trails in the park.

Share your feedback… Please take time to review the Improvement Update Boards to see the proposed changes (including trail additions), and then complete the Division of Parks and Recreation’s survey.
