A public workshop for the New Road Corridor Master Plan took place on Tuesday, November 27th.  Over 100 people in attendance were asked to help define the desired future character of New Road in the face of changing land use, flooding and drainage problems, non-motorized accessibility and recreational opportunities, and anticipated vehicular transportation projects along this well traveled road.  The planning effort is being led by Lardner/Klein Landscape Architects, PC and Delaware Greenways, Inc.   The presentation and the displays from the public meeting can be accessed at http://www.lardnerklein.com/new-road-corridor-master-plan.html.  Comments and suggestions received from the public are now being analyzed and from the comments a series of recommendations will be prepared for presentation to the public at future meetings.  Delaware Greenways supports the Historic Lewes Byway with funding provided by its membership and through donations from our friends.
