Bancroft Mills Bridge Update Meeting
Learn about the findings and recommendations on the path forward for the Bancroft Mills Pedestrian Bridge in Wilmington.
Coastal Resilience Design Studio (CRDS) students created a conceptual plan that helped Claymont receive $1.5 million grant toward a riverfront park!
The Claymont community has long wanted a riverfront park, and the aim of the plan is to “create a space that provided recreational opportunities for the community, such as riverfront access, trails, sports fields, an event space and a marina.” Read the fascinating back story on the project, and the Riverfront Park Conceptual Plan itself, through the post below. It’s truly an exciting time for this corner of Delaware!
The CRDS, is a partnership between the Delaware Sea Grant College Program, the University of Delaware Sustainable Coastal Communities Initiative and the University of Delaware Landscape Architecture Program.
Delaware Greenways was happy to serve as a partner on the project with the Claymont Renaissance Development Corporation, the East Coast Greenway Alliance, both Future Trails of Northern Delaware Coalition members, and Delaware Sea Grant.
