Kings Highway Public Workshop

The Delaware Dept. of Transportation (DelDOT) invites you to the US 9 (Kings Highway) from SR 1 to Freeman Highway In-Person Public Workshop on February 20th, 2024 (details provided at right). 

They are seeking public input on the proposed widening and intersection improvements along Kings Hwy in Lewes, to improve traffic operation and capacity, improve multimodal facilities, and integrate the recommendations of local initiatives. 

Improvements proposed for these existing intersections: 

  • Dartmouth Drive
  • Clay Road
  • Gills Neck Road
  • Freeman Highway

New intersection proposed at:

  • Gills Neck Road and Freeman Hwy
The purpose of this workshop is to present the revised concept design and update the public on the upcoming design schedule. Members of the project team will be available to answer questions.
