Gordons Pond Trail Fully Reopens

Repair work on the Gordons Pond trail in Cape Henlopen State Park has been completed, and the trail has fully reopened to park visitors.
Great progress on the Newport River Trail! Whitman, Requardt & Associates, LLC, have completed their feasibility study. The trail, which would connect the Jack A. Markell Trail (Wilmington section), to the Town of Newport, would open up a whole new world of reachable destinations for non-motorized travel. Read the study here.
The Newport River Trail is one element of the Town of Newport’s revitalization project.
