7 years…that’s the last time the pond at @bellevuestatepark was frozen solid! Yesterday, a few happy skaters and sliders were taking advantage of the moment, while it lasts. If the pond unfreezes before you visit, the park also has plenty of trails to travel, including the Northern Delaware Greenway Trail. WORKSHOP ANNOUNCEMENT: Rocky Run Underpass Feasibility Study Public Workshop on Monday, February 10th, 4:30pm-6:30pm at Talleyville Fire Co. on Concord Pike/Rte 202, Wilmington.Through our seat on the Concord Pike Monitoring Committee, Delaware Greenways has been providing our input on improvements to the Concord Pike Corridor, including the Rocky Run Underpass. We hope you'll come out to provide your feedback on the study initiated by WILMAPCO, DelDOT, and the New Castle County Department of Land Use. It's purpose, to explore the feasibility of creating a pedestrian/bicycle pathway under Concord Pike at the Rocky Run culvert to expand the current trail network to better connect the neighborhoods along the corridor with retail, restaurants and recreational areas.
