This single-track dirt trail follows the eastern side of the Brandywine Creek through Brandywine Creek State Park (BCSP) and the Beaver Valley unit of the First State National Historic Park. Great waterfowl, native wildflower and an occasional beaver sightings along the way.
The land the trail exists on was donated to Brandywine Creek State Park by Industrialist and Conservationist, William Poole Bancroft, after his death in 1928.
With a packed earth surface, exposed tree roots, rocky terrain and small stream crossings, the Creekside Trail is predominately used by hikers and mountain bikers of moderate ability.
Parking in the BCSP parking lots require entrance fees that are in effect from March 1st – November 30th. Visit the Delaware State Parks site for more information.
